His hands

First Thing:
I love the fact that Nate can work with his hand and will in fact be building us two dressers. He apparently doesn't want to come in to this marriage with beat up dressers and a lot of baggage (literally, a lot of bags). We've been talking about when to buy a bedroom set and where to buy one and how much to spend on one and I told him to get his lazy butt moving when he gets home and put to work all of his so called woodworking talent. He'll be building us two dressers, two nightstands, and . . . possibly a headboard. That means that we will have four (maybe 5) wonderful things that my husband will build for us . . . that will last a very long time. It also means I can exploit him for his labor and talent by paying him absolutely nothing for the labor and only paying for the supplies. Hello new mattress because let's be honest, I kind of want to start out my marriage with one very important thing . . . a mattress.
I love that he can work with his hands. Probably one of my favorite things about him are how rough and calloused they are. I know he's a hard worker.

Second Thing:
So the other night I went to CSF and we went through 1 Peter 3:1-7. I thought, great, I'm getting married, I'll need to know this. . . . Well a few days later I had my first real lesson in submission. I told Nate that I was mad and he said, "I know exactly why you're mad. Read Genesis 3:16. That's why you're mad." Well, he was right. That is exactly why I was mad. He knows me so well. Even though I was still kind of mad, I knew he was right. I also knew that I shouldn't be mad. And in retrospect, I am glad I learned this little lesson. I'm not mad anymore. And I'm going to really try and not always want my way.
