Second Thing:
Lg and I watched the last episode of Gilmore Girls ever last night. The episode where Rori graduates from college, has a going away party, and leaves to start her real job in the real world away from all her friends and family. Then we sat on the couch and reminisced and maybe cried a little. Maybe. We've had a lot of fun together these past four years. The four of us. L.A.T.E.
Third Thing:
So I've been talking about Mr. Norton a lot but that's because he's home. Tonight he went to my family's house and sat in the living room and called me on skype and showed me to everyone. It was just over spring break that I was doing the same thing for his birthday. How the tables have turned. It's nice that he's spending time with my family. I've done it millions of times and it's nice when the significant other isn't there sometimes. That way you can really bond.
Tonight he told me he was reading one of our marriage prep books and watching The Office with my family. I wish I was there reading and watching The Office with my family, that's one of my favorite things to do with my family at night. I love listening to my dad crack up at everything said in The Office, even though he's seen it a million times. I love that Nate gets to do it when I can't. I also love that he's such a good fiance and reading for our future, especially since Mr. Marrying Man is going to call me/us next week.
When Nate was gone, we came up with a plan for fighting because apparently I'm not a very good fighter. I feel like for me to write it to the twelve faithful followers of my blog to read what I need to work on would somehow hold me more accountable. And when you read this, you cannot pass judgment on the way I handle Nate getting me annoyed (the childish part)
- Don't play word games
- No sarcasm
- No jumping to ridiculous conclusions
- No rolling eyes (or plugging ears) a.k.a. no being childish
- If I need time, say so
- No yelling
And one final thing, I love this picture. Taken on the day that he came home, Sunday, April 11. One of the best days ever.
